Archaeopteryx

Archaeopteryx was a transitional fossil, representing a crucial link between dinosaurs and birds. It possessed features of both groups, including feathered wings and a long bony tail, but also dinosaur-like teeth and a bony wrist. Discovered in Germany in 1861, it's one of the most famous and important fossils ever found.
