Gilmoreosaurus was a medium-sized ornithopod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period in present-day Mongolia. It possessed a distinctive, boxy shield on its dorsal surface, likely used for defense. Fossil evidence suggests it was a herbivore, browsing on low-growing vegetation.
