Kemp'S Ridley Turtle

The Kemp's Ridley Turtle is the smallest of the American sea turtles and is critically endangered. These turtles are easily recognized by their dark shell with a pale yellow throat and face. They primarily inhabit the Gulf of Mexico and nest almost exclusively on sparsely populated beaches of Mexico and Texas.
