Maiasaura was a large, herbivorous dinosaur known for being one of the best-understood dinosaur mothers. Fossil evidence reveals that many Maiasaura nests were cared for by multiple adults, indicating a high level of parental investment. These gentle giants likely spent most of their time grazing on low-growing plants.
